COOKIES INFORMATION ON COOKIES USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. For this section, for convenience we use “cookies” as a general term for techniques such as cookies, flash cookies and web beacons. They do not take up much space and will be automatically removed when they expire. Some cookies expire at the end of the Internet session, while others will be saved for a certain period of time.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE?
There are different types of cookies with different uses. Some are only used to allow the user to browse the website and view certain features. Others provide us with an idea of the user’s browsing experience, eg. when problems are encountered in carrying out research, in order to make future visits as pleasant as possible. The cookies installed by Caffè Hungaria are called “proprietary cookies”. Cookies set by third parties other than Caffè Hungaria are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies activate third party features or functionality to be provided on the website or through it (e.g. advertising, interactive content and statistics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize the user’s computer or mobile device both when they visit the website and certain other sites. We use proprietary and third party cookies for various reasons.
The most important cookies are the mandatory ones.
1. MANDATORY COOKIES
They are necessary and facilitate navigation, movement within the website and the display of certain features. These cookies are necessary to allow the main functions of the site. They are stored for the duration of the browsing session.
2. FUNCTIONALITY AND ANALYSIS COOKIES
They serve to provide the user with an even better experience. These cookies allow us to analyze the use of the website in order to evaluate and improve performance. These cookies can be set by us or by third parties on our behalf (see our tool for deactivating cookies) and are stored for the duration of the browsing session.
3. ADVERTISING AND SOCIAL MEDIA COOKIES
They remember product and purchase preferences or are otherwise useful for marketing. These cookies allow us to share data, such as the user’s tastes, with our advertisers, so that the advertisements displayed are in line with the user’s preferences (sometimes referred to as “targeting cookies”).
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE USER DOESN’T WANT COOKIES?
You can change your browser settings in order to delete or prevent the storage of some cookies on your computer or mobile device in the absence of explicit consent. The “Help” section of your browser should provide information on how to manage your cookie settings.
